Stand on the 2nd tee, avoid the tree with your drive and the rest of the course is a delight! Beautiful scenery and well maintained fairways and greens. What's more, it's not a "Standard" American design (all sand and water) with no imagination. Bauge will make you think all the way round! The clubhouse is charming! No pretensions of grandeur but quaint and simple with a very warm welcome for all visitors. Play it, enjoy it, you won't be disappointed! I shall be back at the earliest opportunity! Greens are well sprinklered and receptive, fairways lush but closely mown and rough punishing but not overly so! Some holes to "Grip it and rip it" like the wide open second, and some to be more circumspect, like the third, water down the left, OOB on the right, both all the way from tee to green! If only they would get their act together with the clubhouse and facilities this could be one of the best kept secrets in european golf! A very pleasant course with excellent quality of fairways and greens to play. A large variety of holes and reliefs with a well worked lay-out and a good panel of hazards. Always a technical challenge, but without excessive threats This course should probably be pushed up and classified among the top 50 in France (based on my knowledge of about 250 different golf courses in France) Facilities are not at the level of the course.
